I met one of my heroes, Stefan Sagmeister about 7 years ago at OFFF Barcelona in 2012. When I met him, I was your average 25 year old admiring her masters and trying follow their footsteps. Little did I know 7 years later I would be invited to the same conference where he is giving a keynote presentation! For those of you that don’t know him, he’s a legend in his own right. Here’s a short bio on Sagmeister:

Stefan Sagmeister formed the New York based Sagmeister Inc. in 1993 and has since designed for clients as diverse as the Rolling Stones, HBO, and the Guggenheim Museum. Having been nominated eight times he finally won two Grammies for the Talking Heads and Brian Eno & David Byrne package designs. He also earned practically every important international design award. In 2008 a comprehensive book titled “Things I have Learned in my Life so far” was published by Abrams. Solo shows on Sagmeister Inc’s work have been mounted in Paris, Zurich, Vienna, Prague, Cologne, Berlin, New York, Philadelphia, Miami, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Tokyo, Osaka, Seoul and Miami. He teaches in the graduate department of the School of Visual Art in New York and lectures extensively on all continents.

He’s been an inspiration for generations of designers and people that have had the pleasure to experience his work. I don’t know if he remembers meeting me 7 years ago, but I could not be more honored and excited to reunite and join him at one of the world’s premiere conferences for marketing professionals.
