Another successful Ladies, Wine & Design finished up the evening of March 21st! FuturFunded founders Cecilia Tham and Laura Fernandez joined us for a powerful discussion on technology, fundraising and life philosophy. FutureFunded is the first crowdfunding platform for women who are in the technology sector and wish to learn more tech skills. It’s based here in Barcelona. 

The great thing about FuturFunded is the platform takes the time to get to know the aspirants, their background, and can actually help facilitate placement for the women once they have obtained the skills through the courses they are crowdfunding for! 

Cecilia and Laura gave a dynamic and informative presentation, some of which many of our design creatives felt could be adopted in the design industry in the same way!

For me, the quote which stands out the most from the event was by Cecilia. 

“I don’t think we should operate on fear. We should operate on what drives us the most.. what is our purpose?”

Too many of us operate today on fear and loss. We are afraid to step out of our comfort zone and step into our own individual greatness! Thanks to Cecilia for that inspiring reminder of how all of us are unique unicorns who can shine a light on what we have passion about!
